ABC
To ensure smooth operation in the warehouse, it's a good idea to store the most frequently shipped products on easily accessible locations. These can be places in a warehouse zone that is closest to the packing tables, or in a smaller warehouse, all places located on the ground floor and requiring no pallet.
By distinguishing between the most frequently shipped products, it becomes easier to find and pack them. This can significantly shorten the time needed for picking, especially during peak times.
To make this distinction, you can categorize products into three groups:
- A: The 5% most frequently shipped products
- B: The next group of 15% of products that are most frequently shipped
- C: The remaining 80% of products
On Locations
The same classification can also be applied to locations within the warehouse in Stoqflow. Each location can then receive an A, B, or C label so that delivered goods can be stored immediately on a location with the correct ABC label.
?> Tip Stoqflow will automatically suggest locations during the relocation of products in the warehouse that match the current ABC label on the product.
On Products
Stoqflow will review all products every week and recalculate new ABC labels based on how often each product was shipped.
On the product card, you can always see the current ABC label and the last calculated ABC label for every week.

This information can help prepare the warehouse for upcoming peak periods where certain products are more in demand. For example, products linked to holidays will be shipped more frequently several weeks in advance than during the rest of the year.
