Shortages on Delivery
During the unpacking of a purchase order, you notice that you have received too much or too little of a specific SKU. Panic? Not at all! Below is an overview.
Too Much Received
When you receive more than expected from a previously announced SKU, you can enter the received quantity in the unpack screen. Then you can finalize the purchase order as usual. The excess quantities will be correctly counted towards inventory. How do I notice that there are too many items delivered in the purchase order? At the top, you get an overview of the number of items expected, the number of items to check, the number of items delivered (and thus checked), and the number of items that deviate. In the example below, you can see that 20 items were too much delivered.

If you have received an SKU that was not expected at all, best make a new purchase order for the unexpected SKUs and repeat the unpacking process.
Too Little Received
Analogous to receiving too much of a specific SKU, you can enter the delivered quantity when receiving too little. You can again finalize the purchase order as usual. For the items that were received too little, an automatic backorder will be created.
A backorder is easily found via the original order number with suffix '-BO'. This backorder can be found on the overview list or on the detail page of the original purchase order. When the missing goods are delivered again, you can simply search for the backorder and repeat the unpacking process to enter the delivered quantity.
